Reliability akin to a bodyguard
In saying that the person going together with us on vacation is reliable / sturdy, we do not mean that his muscles are rippling. No matter how awesome his physique is, in front of the local natives who are familiar with that place and who also have many friends, aren’t everybody all weaklings? Because of that, a person who is reliable / sturdy on a vacation is someone who can be termed as not getting excited / flustered easily, and is someone who knows how to respond to whatever unforeseen situations amidst wearing a smile, while also not looking weak. U-Know Yunho, who wears a smile towards his fans without change and who has not created any ruckus even once even if he has been through various incidents, isn’t he probably that kind of person? However, because of his handsome looks, there is a possibility that there may be even more conflicts. For instance, conflicts in the mould of, “I’m not happy because my girlfriend keeps staring at your face.”

A quiet and witty companion
Although it is likely that there can be no real vacation where one enjoys a good vacation together with good companions, to the extent of how it is akin to a dog and a leash, occasionally, a vacation is also completed by with half a dose of “quarrelling” edition and half a dose of “reconciliation”with one’s companions. It would perhaps be great if you could just follow along with my opinion, and even friends who are usually quiet will definitely show another personality of him once he comes along on a vacation. Therefore, did they say, “try going on a vacation with friends (and see how it turns out!)”. In any event, to the you who is as weary as you can be of your friends’ rebellion(?), there is no better prescription as Max Changmin. While also being full of emotions, he is quiet, and even as he respects other people’s opinions, he is a friend who lets loose a dose of wit in one stroke each and every moment. Even if one were to spend the vacation in the corner of a room, there is no better companion than him. However, if one were to look at Changmin’s deer-like eyes, it seems like you will subconsciously find yourself going along with his opinions, and you will be able to discover the side of yourself which is just like a puppet.

1. Good grasp / command of the language for which there are no aspects to correct
While typing out the interviews of TVXQ members at the interview venue, there are many occasions whereby we are surprised because they use complete sentences which virtually require no corrections to be made. There are no words such as “really”, which are usually used and repeated a lot, and looking at the answers they give which accurately correspond / coincide with the subject matter, there are also no sentences which need to be omitted. Because of that, they are the type whereby there is no inadequacy even if we just write down what they say without having to think much about them. However, if there is any difference between the 2 members, Changmin is a little more smooth and uses analogies freely, while in contrast, Jung Yunho’s voice is louder and he speaks about the subject matter in a straightforward manner.

2. Possessing charisma which smoothens out the atmosphere of the interview venue
It is always enjoyable to conduct interviews with TVXQ. It is not that we harbour fan feelings for them, but because the interviews with them are always completed within an extremely smooth-sailing atmosphere, so much so that anybody will enjoy conducting such interviews. In places where TVXQ are in attendance at, 9 out of 10 times, TVXQ will be designated as the main characters of the day, but they are always placing / humbling themselves fairly lower than the people surrounding them. But even while they are being so, shall we perhaps say that we will still nonetheless subconsciously come to be able to be pretty focused on their comments, which mixes wit, composure and sincerity? Thanks to them, even if the MC is not putting in particularly a lot of effort, they will make it such that the atmosphere becomes naturally comfortable and from the viewpoint of someone asking the questions too, we come to be able to ask the questions in a manner which is a little more comfortable. The reason why interviews with TVXQ are always relatively fruitful is undoubtedly due to this.

3. Always having a smile and speaking as if they are having a conversation with you
A so-called interview with a star is not about all the time having just questions which sound pleasing to the ear. In addition, before the interviews, they also do not ask for consideration and block off questions in advance. Instead, no matter what questions are presented to them, they will answer with gentle smiles while maintaining eye contact with the person asking the questions, and their speaking tone shows that they are more than happy to answer in a friendly manner, as if they are having a conversation with you at the coffee shop. What this signifies is probably that we now have to add Jung Yunho and Shim Changmin to the list of “actors” who are fairly famous for their good interview manners, Lee Seung Gi, Jang Geun Suk and Lee Joon Ki.

4. Doing their best for promotions
If we pay close attention to the looks of Jung Yunho and Shim Changmin promoting (their dramas etc), there are times when we are touched. It is okay even if they do not go to that extent, but every time there is an opportunity to do so, they are not bothered by things such as saving their face and will put in their utmost for the promotions to their heart’s content. Notwithstanding that they are Asia’s best singers as well as having received appraisal evaluations that it is also not bad casting them as lead characters in dramas, whether there are junior singers around, or regardless of whoever is around them, they will say things like “I am the promotional ambassador” without any hesitation. Although these words seem like nothing great, in the acting industry, there is also a tendency to go “battling for victory through things other than real ability” on the issue of putting in effort in promotions. Things which can be done without particularing putting in too much effort, if one conversely puts in too much effort, it would become overboard, so people would think lightly of promotions. Amidst such atmosphere, while proclaiming themselves to be the promotional ambassador, the other actors of similar age groups are making their exists, but they stayed till the end and repeatedly bowed while doing their greetings and saying, “Please take care of our drama”. These are actions which involve more issues of pride than what one expects, and simultaneously requires huge courage and self-humility. Even if this were a field different from theirs, seeing that these are words and actions of someone who had already reached the peak in one arena, shall we say that they seem so humble and altruistic? The fact that there are many amicable articles about their productions makes one think of whether this is perhaps because the reporters have been impressed, no matter how little, by TVXQ who are like that.

5. Good manners which are almost second nature to them
If one were asked to observe the actions of the TVXQ members in a detailed manner, you will be able to discover surprising points. The point that they provide a fair amount of comfort to the people around them, even though these are actions which usually go unnoticed. For instance, even if they were taking group photos, they will raise their hands to point out the direction of where they are facing, and through this, they are providing convenience all the time to either the people beside them or the reporters taking photos of them, and while the interview is fully underway, they will also raise their tones louder than usual, so that even if one is not particularly concentrating hard, one can still hear them distinctly. At the interview venue, it is also always them who are the first to offer their own microphones if others’ microphones are not working, and it is always them who stay behind on the stage for the longest amount of time and are repeatedly greeting everyone right till the end. What is interesting is that they themselves in fact do not think much of this chain of actions. It seems like because these are things which they have always done from a long time ago, even if they are not particularly thinking of doing it, their bodies know it and will naturally do it.

6. Their love for and trust in their fans
Of course, how can there be stars who do not talk about their fans, but the way these 2 men refer to their fans has a tendency to be pretty different from others. They do not say things such as the usual “love” or “requests”, but shall we say that they go, “Eh~ they will do whatever they deem fit”. Perhaps just by reading this in words, one may possibly see it fairly as having no sincerity, but if one looks at these together with their facial expressions at the material time, one will be able to realize an almost completely different meaning to it. First, even just talking about their fans, the corners of their mouths will slightly lift, and their gazes then are the most confident / assured of the gazes one can see on them on that particular day. (It’s true!) Just like long-time friends whom they can believe in, one can get the feeling of, “what use is there in having to particularly talk about this in detail”. Further, in truth, regardless of what TVXQ says, the reporters will be able to get their meaning. This is of course referring to the fact that the relationship between TVXQ and their fans are pretty famous…
