[TRANS- ORISTA Interview] Changmin talks about his first kiss scene.

The drama in which Changmin starred on, “Mimi” was recently released as a DVD. We interviewed Changmin regarding his recent first love drama, in which he played 2 characters. We were able to ask him about his opinions on wearing a high school uniform since 10 years ago, as well as his first kiss scene.
Q: You see, in this mysterious love story, you act as the high school version of Minwoo as well as Minwoo 10 years later, who had lost his memories. Did you have any particular things that you brought attention to?
A: Since, the teenage Minwoo and the adult Minwoo have two complete different personalities, you can probably assume that I am acting as two separate characters. However, in the story, Minwoo is after all, a single human being. To tell you the truth, on the script, it didn’t talk about how Minwoo spent his 10 years since he lost his memories of his first love. So, I tried imagining, “what happened to him over the decade?” For example, I imagined that since he was poor, he probably frequently moved to place to place along with his mum, so he probably didn’t have much friends. I thought to myself that the experiences he had made him him. By making my own story in my head, I was able to bring attention to how I will act out the Minwoo I made up in my mind. That is because I felt that in order to open, understand Minwoo’s mind, I had no choice but to create an imagine of the unknown 10 years.
Q: Your opinion on wearing a high school uniform?
A: People around me asked, “Is this really okay?” I, myself worried if it suited me since its been 10 years since I last wore a school uniform. But, in the end, I didn’t get any major surprises on how it turned out, so I was relieved. However, my stylists told me, “Even though you’re acting as a high schooler, because you drank too much alcohol, your skin doesn’t look like it’s a teenage skin!” But…. oh well, it was fun anyways lol
Q: Do you have any similarities or major differences with Minwoo?
A: What I can’t understand or relate him is his first kiss (scene). Before the kiss, he sets things up to create the mood, but I pondered to myself, “does he really have to do that?” Even to the director I said to him, “This action of his (Minwoo), seems like a Yankee. He seems like a gangster.” the director agreed about that too lol.
