Tohoshinki has once again ascended the top of the Oricon charts.

Tohoshinki has taken over 1st place on the Oricon Overall Daily Charts on the first day of release with their “2014 Live Tour ~ Tree” DVD, released in Japan on 27 August.

Prior to this, Tohoshinki had ascended the top of the DVD Weekly Charts for 3 consecutive times, and has created a record for the first time in history that this has been achieved by a foreign artiste. The DVD this time around has again risen to 1st place on the daily charts and they have once again proven that they are the traditional strong contenders of the Oricon charts.

First of all, in order to direct [Celebrate] that was the concept of this shooting, Satoko Fujisaki-san, a wine-stylist, prepared Champagne bottles and a fruits plate.

Actually, Fujisaki-san is the Fujisaki-san who writes a column in Kami-no-shizuku (Drops of God), a legendary comic that is one of Changmin-san’s favorite JPN comics〜. Fujisaki-san knows everything about alcohol, so she taught Changmin-san how to do Champagne shower without a rehearsal (!)
After we finished all the shooting and interview, we revealed Changmin-san who Fujisaki-san is. Changmin-san was so deeply touched and his big eyes even got bigger (1.5 times more!) and asked Fujisaki-san, “Would you mind shaking hands with you?” I can still remember very clearly that Changmin-san shook hands with Fujisaki-san.

 
During the interview, we took pictures of Tohoshinki and the two of them wrote autographs on them.. here they are. We have three pictures with their autographs for our readers.
Actually, Tabano from our editorial office who helped Tohoshinki to write autographs on the pictures was about 8 months pregnant and her belly was really big. When Yunho-san noticed her, he asked her very kindly, “Pardon me, but are you expecting a baby?” I still remember that too.

 

The photographer who took pictures this time is the best and well respected Kei Ogata. Ogata-san has kept making legendary photo shoots in Vogue Japan. He took the photos of Vogue Japan 2011 May issue “Friendship of Tohoshinki that is almost equivalent to Love”. Ogata-san met Tohoshinki after there years, he was able to capture much more powerful Tohoshinki in the form of Celebration for us and you all, Tohoshinki-fans. I think he made another legendary photo shoot this time.
We will show you the cute Tohoshinki, the powerful Tohoshinki, and the sexy Tohoshinki through the pages of the Oct issue of Vogue magazine. The making film was shot by Tomono-san and Nakajima-san beautifully and they did not miss anything out. And not to forget about Eri Magara, a writer who also participated in editing. I am really grateful to Magara-san for her speed and sense, and I am really counting on her♡ Magara-san is actually a mother of the tortoise, Gura-chan, with whom Yunho-san and Changmin-san had fond memories of.

I watched the documentary film that was included in the 3rd disk of LIVE DVD [TOHOSHINKI LIVE TOUR 2014~TREE~] (8/27 on sale). and it really brought me tears~.
For their fans who filled the concert venue, Tohoshinki and their staffs kept challenging to their limit.. they looked godly (amazing).. I was so touched by the scene where Yunho-san said earnestly, “The staff of Tohoshinki are my pride~.”

This may be a bit of derail, but I also feel that the energy of our staffs are so very important while I keep working/pursuing my career. Especially people in media has a lot of time spending together with staffs. For me, its really important whether I like them before interviews. Among the staffs, the Tohoshinki’s staffs are the best! they are awesome people. I can tell they work as a team (one) in order to create the best product/stage/photoshoot/etc and make the best memories. Their energy always saves/energizes me and I am really grateful to that. I tried to convey my feelings through the last cut.

 
In the last cut, I wanted to express, “the sexy Tohoshinki” and I let them try many different posing. Somehow I thought, perhaps one can hold a ring so that we can get a close-up of his hands. However, we did not have a ring for the photo shoot. Then the manager of Tohoshinki took off his ring and he allowed us to use it for the photo shoot. When Changmin-san held the ring, (he/his hands) looked mysterious and very sexy. Thanks to them, we were able to take such a wonderful picture. This is a very special photo where Tohoshinki and their manager were united.


In order to take movies of 15 years Celebration of Vogue that we have already uploaded, Tanifuji-san, a stylist, arranged those cute balloons.

And on Twitter, we were able see props that were used in the planning of this photo shoot, and fan arts where everyone was able to reproduce their poses very precisely (!). and we were very much impressed.

TVXQ’s Max Changmin has taken part in the OST for the drama which his member of the same team, U-Know Yunho, is appearing in.

In the OST for MBC Monday-Tuesday drama “Journal of Night Watchmen” which will be revealed on 26 August, Max Changmin has personally sung the love theme song for Moo Seok (U-Know Yunho), “Because I Am Unable to Say the Words “I Love You””. Max Changmin has taken part in the OST for the sake of U-Know Yunho, who has successfully transformed his acting, and this is anticipated to provide even strength to the character of Moo Seok as the song ignites his sorrowful emotions.

“Because I Am Unable to Say the Words “I Love You” is the collaborative work of Wasabi Sound and Dr Kim, who had created “Tracing Back Time” for the “Moon Embracing The Sun” OST sung by Lyn. As a song which melancholicly contains and evokes the lingering feelings for a broken fate, coupled with the string melody and the piano which serenely plays, Max Changmin’s rich appealing voice completed the wonderful harmony, making Moo Seok’s unrequited love even more ardent.

On top of anything else, the vocal abilities of Max Changmin, which unleashes itself in the chorus, draws out the painful one-sided love of Moo Seok, with the lyrics “Even if I want to say I love you, you are not by my side anymore, isn’t it. Because I know that things cannot be turned back even if I try shouting out for you saying I miss you, I miss you” exquisitely going in harmony and emphasizing the ardent love even more.

The most interesting footage is the making video of the tour that is included in the third disk for the first-run limited edition. It shows the behind the scenes of their spectacular stages, and everyone including Tohoshinki fans should watch at least once.

The full smile of young and old, man and woman who were gathered under the tree of Tohoshinki.. I am sure that your eyes will be filled with tears from the very beginning.

The disk includes individual interviews of the two, rehearsal, how they were just before coming out on the stage, interactions/communication with staffs, how they were when they were relaxed, and etc. I was completely absorbed into their many expressions and words/actions, and lost time.

Their eyes were totally serious when they were doing rehearsals, they are professionals when they discussed with Sam who was the producer of the tour. One time, Changmin argued and talked about his own thoughts. He was assertive but calm. I was quite struck by the fact that this face of Changmin is a bit different from him on the stage. And of course, this is because Changmin has matured and I was impressed by that.

And I was so touched by Yunho talked about Changmin, Changmin for Yunho, and his relationship with Changmin. There are not many people who can find a partner like the way where Changmin is to Yunho. Further, I also was very touched by Changmin talked about Yunho, Yunho for Changmin, and his relationship with Yunho. The celebration of 9 years of Tohoshinki… and the atmosphere surrounding staffs, band members, dancers, everyone in the team Tohoshinki made me feel so comfortable/assured and I was envy for all of them.

In addition, both Yunho and Changmin revealed the side of them being human. They showed their frustration, irritation, impatience towards themselves. That is all because they were very serious (about their stage/performance).

They had 29 concerts only in two months. One would not put 100% effort but take it easy on occasions, or get injured because it was such a hard schedule. Yunho had injured his ankle ligament, however, he always put more than 100% of his effort and he has never taken things easy. He was absolutely professional. Of course, it’s not just Yunho but Changmin too.

Why? You can find the answer in the documentary.

At the end, they talked about their dreams. Yunho who had dreamed about standing on a stage for a long time, and Changmin who was discovered and then stands in the spotlight.. they are just like the two sides of the same coin.. their dreams are full of them. Their thoughts and feelings overflow through their dreams.

In the ending, their comments at the Kyocera Dome (that fans are longing for) are included. I hope you can see their faces/expressions, and you feel the tone and the pitch of their words, and the temperature/atmosphere. I wish you can feel their overflown feelings through the scenes.

After I watched the documentary, I watched the concert again. Usually, they do not show behind the scenes so I felt something different. But I was glad that I watched the behind the scenes. This DVD completes The TREE TOUR. Now the tour is over.

When was the last time that we worked together with TVXQ… While preparing for the photoshoot in the studio within the city of Tokyo, I checked my iPhone in order to recall when that was, and would you believe it, it has already been 3 years ago!! Perhaps it was because I had been feeling the activity of the both of them constantly on TV, in movies, in magazines and compared to anything else, at their live concerts, it did not seem like it had been something that long ago. The cover appearance which I had continuously wanted to work together with them on from that time onwards has finally been realized in this issue. So a long time has also passed before it has been realized… While I was dwelling over this, “Hello!”, (I heard) the familiar voices which I had heard in CDs and at their live concerts!!! Tohoshinki, who made time amidst their concert tour to come, exuded a comfortable atmosphere which was again different from those artistes’ faces which were filled with overflowing anxiety while they are on stage. Of course, even with such an appearance, Tohoshinki are also as suave as them. While going “It’s been a long time~” and speaking with us, even the air in the studio received a “bo~ing” boost at their easygoingness.

While he was in the midst of trying out his outfits, Yunho-ssi and I stood chatting. While being thankful for the opportunity afforded by this job, I tried throwing a simple question at him, going “A live tour with 29 concerts in 11 cities nationwide, aren’t you tired out by such packed schedule?” “If I think of it as work or obligation,it would perhaps be too much for me (laughs). I am doing it because it’s enjoyable. The live concerts are something precious which we create together with the fans as we go along, and because this is something we challenge ourselves with.” Ah.. So this is it. Tohoshinki, who have not in the least changed from the first time we interviewed them, and who have always maintained this upright mindset. It is of course not just the ladies who resonated with this strongly in their hearts.

After completing the preparations, the photoshoot finally started! Amidst the various requests which were emerging in order to capture and emit the “present” of Tohoshinki, who possess the mature aura of men, the both of them responded to the said requests with “more than that requested” in an enjoyable manner. Starting from the staff who were checking the monitor, including the cameraman, the voices of “Great!!” kept emerging, but once the shots appeared, because they kept having new facial expressions the more the shots appeared, the photoshoot was not able to stop!!! (laughs). There is something known as the best subject for photography! And it is this!! These breath-taking soundless moments where the staff unanimously go “This facial expression… yes this is it!!”, how many times did this happen on this day… Thanks to them, the photoshoot was extended a little and although it is also a fact that the interview time was decreased, it was really shortened by only a very little bit. A little bit!!

Even during the interview, the both of them also responded with replies, with each and every phase reflecting their own thoughts. However, it is inevitable that the time for ending the interview soon approached closer, the more we thought, “We want to hear more from them!!” When they were greeting us as they were leaving, Yunho said, “When we did a photoshoot the last time around, you said “let’s do a magazine cover page some day”. It’s been realized”.

While going “So he.. remem.. remem.. remembered…!!!” and desperately trying to stop myself from crying from being moved by him, I said “Thank you!!!” while greeting him deeply with my heartfelt feelings. While going “Someday, let’s again have a cover page with Tohoshinki on the cover no matter what!!! To my heart’s content!! Extra large page size!!”, I pledged strongly to myself deeply within my heart.
